Sally Wolf

Sally Wolf made her Seattle Opera debut as the Queen of the Night in Mozart’s Zauberflöte in 1987, a role she has sung with many opera companies, including the Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera Covent Garden, Vienna Staatsoper, Théâtre du Châtelet, Grand Théâtre de Genève, and San Francisco Opera. Wolf returned to Seattle in 1989 to sing Gilda in Verdi’s Rigoletto. Other roles with Seattle Opera include Mimì in Puccini’s Bohème, the title roles of Moore’s Ballad of Baby Doe and Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor, and Donna Anna in Mozart’s Don Giovanni. She reprised the role of Donna Anna in Frankfurt, Austin, and with New York City Opera, where her credits also include the Queen of the Night, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, and Amalia in Verdi’s Masnadieri (at Carnegie Hall). Wolf has appeared as Constanze in Mozart’s Entführung aus dem Serail with Staatsoper Berlin, Opera North, Netherlands Opera, Santa Fe Opera, and Austin Lyric Opera. Other roles include Giunia in Mozart’s Lucio Silla and Violetta in Verdi’s Traviata. Wolf has sung Norma with Los Angeles Opera and Florida Grand Opera.
