Since designing wigs and makeup for Seattle Opera’s production of Verdi’s Trovatore in 1989, Watson has returned to the company several times: He designed wigs and makeup for Donizetti’s Anna Bolena and Lucia di Lammermoor as well as for the 1991 Ring cycle. His work has appeared in opera productions across North America, including Eugene Onegin and Britten’s Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Metropolitan Opera and other works at Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, Minnesota Opera, and Opera Company of Philadelphia. Watson’s designs have also appeared in theaters such as the Shakespeare Theatre in Washington D.C., the American Repertory Theatre in Boston, and the Public Theatre in New York.
