Christopher Lade, a native of Los Angeles, holds both M.M. and B.A. degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles, in Piano Performance. As a coach, Lade has been principal répétiteur for the OperaUCLA productions of Jonathon Dove’s Flight, and Francis Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites , in addition to being principal rehearsal pianist and rehearsal conductor for both productions. As an accompanist, he has extensive training in both chamber repertoire and lieder, studying at the prestigious Franz Schubert Institut in Baden bei Wien during the summer of 2011. As a solo pianist, he has performed with the UCLA Philharmonia, been its principal orchestral pianist from 2006-2011, and given numerous solo recitals in the Los Angeles area. 2012/13 will be Lade’s second season with the Young Artists Program.
