Bruno Cinquegrani is the former associate conductor of the Crimean State Philharmonic. He regularly conducts Donizetti operas, including L’elisir d’amore for Opera Holland Park with the City of London Sinfonia, Lucrezia Borgia at Teatro Verdi, Lucia di Lammermoor at Teatro Comunale di Bologna, and Marin Faliero at Teatro Verdi and the Bergamo Musica Festival. Cinquegrani has also led Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi at Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Verdi’s Traviata at the Bergamo Musica Festival, and concerts with the Belgrade Philharmonic. As an assistant conductor, he has worked on Verdi’s Simon Boccanegra at Opera Bastille, Verdi’s Falstaff at Teatro Comunale, Verdi’s Rigoletto at Royal Opera Covent Garden, Puccini’s Madama Butterfly at the Aspen Music Festival, and Rossini’s Gazza ladra at Garsington Opera. In January, in collaboration with the Konzerthaus Japan of Tokyo and the Fondazione Donizetti of Bergamo, he will make his Japanese debut conducting La Traviata.
