Christopher Feigum made his debut at Seattle Opera as Dr. Falke in Johann Strauss Jr.’s Fledermaus in 2006, a role he recently reprised in Dallas. He returns to the company as Zurga in Bizet’s Pearl Fishers in 2009. Feigum began his career as a member of the Houston Grand Opera Studio, where he sang the title role in Mozart’s Nozze di Figaro. His other roles on Houston’s mainstage included Schunard in Puccini's Bohème, the Speaker in Mozart’s Zauberflöte, Luther and Crespel in Offenbach’s Contes d’Hoffmann, the Doctor in Verdi’s Traviata, and Zuniga in Bizet’s Carmen. Feigum appears frequently at Lyric Opera of Chicago, where his roles include Mercutio in Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette, Lescaut in Puccini’s Manon Lescaut, the Bosun in Britten’s Billy Budd, Carl Olsen in Weill’s Street Scene, and Lescaut in Massenet’s Manon. He has also appeared at Santa Fe, Dallas, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Opera Pacific. Other roles inlcude Reinmar von Zweter in Wagner’s Tannhäuser at Los Angeles Opera, Dr. Malatesta in Donizetti's Don Pasquale in Colorado, Marcello in La bohème in Kentucky, and Figaro in San Francisco, Colorado, and Tulsa. This spring he returns to Chicago as Silvio in Leoncavallo's Pagliacci and Tulsa as Belcore in Donizetti's Elisir d'amore.
