Bio

David Lara holds an M.M. from the University of Kansas. His roles there included Ford in Verdi’s Falstaff, a role he reprised in 2007 with the Seattle Opera Young Artists Program. For two years, Lara served as an apprentice at Lyric Opera of Kansas City; he was awarded their Kaplan Prize and sang Kromov in Lehár’s Merry Widow on the mainstage. Other roles for Lara are Iron Hans in Susa’s Transformations (Merola Opera Program at San Francisco Opera) and the title role in Mozart’s Don Giovanni (Seagle Music Colony). He returned to Seattle Opera’s Young Artists Program for 2007/08 season.
