Bio

Erik Anstine was recently featured as Mr. Peachum in the Castleton Festival's production of Britten's Beggar's Opera under the Baton of Lorin Maazel. Other roles include Sir John Falstaff in Nicolai's Lustigen Weiber von Windsor, Crespel in Offenbach's Contes d'Hoffmann, Il Commendatore in Mozart's Don Giovanni, Il Notaio in Gianni Schicchi and Kecal in Smetana's Bartered Bride. The 2009 Grand Prize winner (Student Division) of the Orpheus Vocal Competition, Anstine was also a 2008 finalist in the Central region of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. As a Seattle Opera Young Artist, he has performed Don Alfonso in Mozart’s Così fan tutte and Truffaldino in Ariadne auf Naxos. He will make his Seattle Opera debut as Second Priest in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte.
