Bio

Gregory Carroll, the 2009 recipient of the Metropolitan Opera’s Zimmerman Career Grant, won second place and the Wagner Prize at the 2009 Irene Dalis Vocal Competition. A member of San Francisco Opera’s 2009 Merola Program, Carroll has sung in concerts in Europe and Asia and throughout the Northwest. Carroll finishes this season singing Canio in Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci with Spokane Opera, Rodolfo in Verdi’s Luisa Miller with Puget Sound Opera, and scenes from Wagner’s Walküre and Der Fliegende Holländer in a concert for the Wagner Society of Northern California. In 2011, he sings First Armored Man in Mozart’s Zauberflöte with Canadian Opera Company.
