Bio

Jason Grant debuted at Seattle Opera as Monterone in Verdi's Rigoletto and returns to the company as Cesare Angelotti in Verdi’s Tosca. He has sung with the New York City Opera where his roles included Leporello in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Dulcamara in Donizetti’s Elisir d'amore, and Don Profondo in Rossini’s Viaggio a Reims. Other engagements include Dallas Opera (Leporello and Four Villains in Offenbach’s Contes d'Hoffmann), Santa Fe Opera, and Opera Orchestra of New York (Duglas in Rossini’s Donna del lago and Attila). He makes several debuts this season including appearances with the New York Philharmonic (Bach’s St. Matthew Passion and Angelotti), Saint Louis Symphony (Don Fernando in Beethoven’s Fidelio), and Milwaukee Symphony (Bach’s Mass in B Minor). Future engagements include a return to New York Philharmonic as Pater Profundis in Maestro Maazel's farewell performances of Mahler's Eighth.
