Leodigario del Rosario
Leodigario del Rosario’s recent engagements include Rodolfo in Puccini’s Bohème with the Philippine Opera Company; Turiddù in Mascagni’s Cavalleria rusticana, Alfredo in Verdi’s Traviata, and Pinkerton in Puccini's Madama Butterfly with Lyric Opera Northwest; Don José in Bizet’s Carmen with Tacoma Opera; and the Duke of Mantua in Verdi's Rigoletto with Opera Southwest. A former Seattle Opera Young Artist, del Rosario has appeared on the mainstage as Gastone in Verdi's Traviata, Nathanaël in Offenbach’s Contes d’Hoffmann, Malcolm in Verdi’s Macbeth, and in Richard Strauss’s Rosenkavalier. With the Young Artists, del Rosario performed Tamino in Mozart’s Magic Flute and Ferrando in Mozart’s Così fan tutte. Other roles for del Rosario include Don Ramiro in Rossini’s Cenerentola, Alfred in Johann Strauss Jr.’s Fledermaus, Borsa in Verdi’s Rigoletto, the title role in Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Roméo in Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette, Cassio in Verdi's Otello, and Rinuccio in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi.
