Marc-Antoine d’Aragon has performed such roles as Papageno in Mozart’s Zauberflöte, Belcore in Donizetti’s Elisir d’amore, Maximillian in Bernstein’s Candide, Silvio in Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci, and the title role in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi. Other credits include Antonio in Mozart’s Nozze di Figaro, Il Comissario in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, and Père Félicien in the world premiere of Julian Wachner’s Évangéline Revisited. D’Aragon, a former member of Opéra Lyra Ottawa’s Opera Studio training program, will teach master classes at the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus, Syria, this spring. Upcoming engagements include Dancaïre in Bizet’s Carmen, and Papageno in a matinee performance with Opéra Lyra Ottawa in September. He also released a recipe book Des crêpes à l'opéra in February 2009.
