Michael Anthony McGee
Michael Anthony McGee earned his B.M. and M.M. from the Manhattan School of Music. This Northwest Regional winner of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions has studied with the young artists program of Seattle Opera, San Francisco Opera, and Santa Fe Opera. Performances include the title role of Verdi’s Falstaff with the Seattle Opera Young Artists Program last season, Snug in Britten’s Midsummer Night’s Dream and the Soloist in Mahler’s Kindertotenlieder, and solo recitals at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall and at Merkin Concert Hall in New York. McGee returned to the Young Artists Program for the 2007/08 season and will make his Seattle Symphony debut as a soloist next season.
