Molly Fillmore


Molly Fillmore made her Seattle Opera debut as the Second Wood Nymph in Dvorak’s Rusalka in 2001. At that time, she was a principal mezzo-soprano soloist at Cologne Opera, where (from 1997 to 2003) she appeared in over twenty-five roles, including Romeo in Bellini’s Capuleti ed i Montecchi, Cherubino in Mozart’s Nozze di Figaro, Don Ramiro in Mozart’s Finta giardiniera, Wellgunde and Waltraute in Wagner’s Ring des Nibelungen, and Hansel in Humperdinck’s Hansel und Gretel. Recent credits for Fillmore include her Carnegie Hall debut in Mozart’s Requiem, Marguerite in Berlioz Damnation de Faust with Utah Symphony, and the title role of Bizet’s Carmen at Eugene Opera.
