Paul Gudas


Paul Gudas made his Seattle Opera debut in 1989 as Schmidt in Massenet’s Werther and has almost 250 performances with the company to his credit. His many roles include the Sergeant in Rossini’s Barbiere di Siviglia, Missail in Mussorgsky’s Boris Godunov, Sciarrone in the 2001 production of Puccini’s Tosca, Hadji in Delibes’ Lakmé, and Platon Karatayev in Prokofiev’s War and Peace. Gudas began his opera career with the Lyric Opera of Chicago and performed for three years with the Zurich International Opera Studio and for six years with the San Francisco Opera.
