Rob Toren sang the title role in Mendelssohn’s Elijah with the Hebrew University Orchestra and Chorus in Jerusalem, and he appeared as the Speaker in Mozart’s Zauberflöte and as Monterone in Verdi’s Rigolettowith Cleveland Opera. Also in Cleveland, Toren appeared as a soloist in Bach’s B Minor Mass with the Coventry Singers and in Bloch’s Sacred Service. Toren last appeared at Seattle Opera as the Second Mate in the 2001 production of Britten’s Billy Budd. Toren sang the Fifth Jew in the 2002 production of Salome at Seattle Opera. In 2004, he sings Castro in La fanciulla del West.
