Pagliacci - Family Matinee At Seattle Opera
SUNDAY, JANUARY 20
$15 Student Tickets
Pagliacci’s action-packed story, fueled by memorable characters and entertaining antics, make it an ideal outing for new operagoers. So we’ve designated the Sunday, January 20 performance as our first family matinee of the season for students ages 22 and under. Bring the young music- and theater-lovers you know and pay only $15 for student tickets. Recommended for ages 10 and older. ($15 student tickets valid for the January 20, 2008 matinee only, subject to availability. Limit 2 per order, valid student ID required. Overtures To The Opera – Kids Get In Free!
Show your $15 ticket at the box office and get a free pass to the Overtures lecture, a terrific introduction to the opera starting at 12:30 p.m. Adults are $7.
Other Pre-Show Activities
All student ticketholders will receive an activity sheet with games and puzzles relating to the opera to keep them occupied before the curtain rises. As always, the Amusements gift shop will be open and Café Impromptu will be serving a brunch buffet before the show.
Head to the Norcliffe Room, on the south side of the first tier, for a family-friendly intermission. Complimentary temporary tattoos will be available for everyone in your party. Members of the cast will pay a visit to take photos with the kids and answer their questions. There will also be a station for clown face painting. Bring your camera!
After The Opera
Immediately after the performance, all student ticket holders are invited to stop by the the Promenade Level to receive a complimentary sample slice of Pagliacci Pizza. Supplies are limited, so this “extra” will be for students only, 1 sample slice per person. On your way out, share the joy of making music at the KING FM Instrument Petting Zoo in the Promenade. It’s all hands-on, as we let kids explore a world of instruments, from clarinets to xylophones. Please DO touch the instruments!
