A Young Artists Program Production
When scheming Dr. Malatesta arranges for his friend Norina to marry the very rich (and very ancient) Don Pasquale, you can be sure that wedded bliss is not in store for the sorry old codger. Donizetti's last masterpiece unfolds with gorgeous melodies as we laugh at the declining fortunes of Pasquale and cheer for the inevitable triumph of the young lovers.
Seattle Opera’s Young Artists perform this beautiful score with fresh lyric voices and unbridled enthusiasm. Music Director Brian Garman will conduct, and Artistic Director Peter Kazaras will direct this fully-staged production for the Program's Meany Hall debut.
