Presented by Seattle Opera in Partnership with Seattle Public Theater
Returning for its second year after a successful 2017/18 production of Robin Hood, the Youth Opera Project is a comprehensive opera training program designed to guide youth through the journey of producing an opera. Students age 7–18 of all experience levels will explore stagecraft, singing, acting, dancing, and more, culminating with public performances of an opera at Cornish Playhouse in March.
Youth participants will work with professional teaching artists in a fun and safe space. The Youth Opera Project accepts everyone ages 7–18, regardless of skill level. No prior experience is necessary.
Seattle Opera is committed to providing opportunities for youth and families to experience opera. Limited financial assistance is available.
